Registered Clinical Counsellor
Heather Hassenbein is a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a Professional Art Therapist. She has found the creative process to be supportive and healing in her own life and became committed to sharing this healing modality with others.
Heather works from a person-centered therapeutic orientation and believes cultivating safety and trust from the beginning is essential in order to help facilitate change and growth. She also works from an intuitive and holistic perspective and believes in supporting the mind, body, soul connection and understands how one can impact the whole. Heather also incorporates mindfulness, aromatherapy, and body-oriented therapy techniques into sessions.
Heather works with clients on an individual basis as well as through group workshop sessions. She is also passionate about working with empaths and highly sensitive people to help them learn to ground and balance their energy in a world that can seem overwhelming at times. Her clinical work has encompassed working with clients who were dealing with anxiety, depression, chronic illness, declining mental and physical health, isolation, life transitions, and bereavement.
Heather believes her role is to work alongside her clients while assisting them to reach their goals. She also works with clients to rediscover their inner strength and resources in order to alleviate thoughts and emotions that are inhibiting feelings of connection, fulfillment, and joy.
